Welcome to Friday Counter! We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience on our website. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Friday countdown service.

Friday Counter is a fun, interactive tool that helps people around the world count down to Friday in their local timezone. We believe in transparency and want you to understand how your data is handled.

Information You Provide:

• Language preferences you select
• Timezone preferences you choose
• Information you submit through Contact, including your email address, message and any optional name or topic. We also send a subject generated from the topic and the submission time.

We use the collected information to:

• Provide accurate Friday countdown times for your timezone
• Display content in your preferred language
• Receive and respond to questions, problem reports and suggestions you send us.

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Your privacy choices are stored in this browser and are valid for up to one year. We ask again after that; this does not automatically delete stored data.

• With your permission, this browser remembers My Friday, appearance settings, local Friday visits and calculator history. You can remove these by turning off settings and local history in Privacy settings.
• Contact messages are handled separately by EmailJS and sent and received through Google/Gmail, outside your browser.
• Clearing browser storage removes locally stored choices and preferences. It does not delete messages you have already sent.

A retention period for Contact messages has not yet been established. Contact us about a message or a deletion request.

Avoid including passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information in a Contact message.

Friday Counter uses the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy policy:

• Vercel hosts this site. With your analytics permission, Vercel Analytics receives page views and selected interactions, and Speed Insights provides aggregated performance measurements. Vercel Analytics derives a visitor hash from request data and uses a visitor session lasting up to 24 hours. These analytics services do not use cookies.
• EmailJS processes the details you submit through Contact and passes them to our connected Google/Gmail service. Its privacy policy explains its processing, storage and international transfers.
• Google/Gmail is used to send and receive Contact emails. Google's privacy policy describes its processing.

You have the right to:

• Request access to personal information associated with your Contact messages.
• Delete your local preferences anytime
• Turn off analytics anytime using Privacy settings in the page footer.
• Contact us with privacy concerns

Friday Counter is a general audience service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last modified" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
